Alternatively, it can be used independently if you're looking to pick the perfect colors, rearrange existing furnishings, or assess your project's budget. This service is perfect for clients who need focused guidance to kickstart their vision. The Consultation provides actionable, expert advice to help you start making confident design decisions.
Our Process
The Discovery Call
Our projects start with the Discovery Call, a virtual introduction to discuss your needs, vision, and how we can help. If we are a good fit, we will schedule a time for an In-Home Consultation.
Project Initiation Phase
We kick off the project with an up-to 90-minute paid In-Home Consultation to assess your space, discuss design goals, and refine project details. A Letter of Agreement formalizes our collaboration, and a Project Questionnaire gathers crucial project details.
Programming Phase
In this phase, we gather site information and define your design preferences. A site survey captures measurements and conditions, leading to a detailed plan. We create a project brief that outlines your goals, challenges, and timeline based on our discussions and questionnaire.
Schematic Design Phase
The creative process begins with initial layout options and design schemes. We explore design styles, materials, and prepare our first design presentation with preliminary cost estimates. At this point, you select a specific design for us to develop, and we will incorporate up to two revisions in this design, moving us forward to the next stage upon approval and payment.
Design Development Phase
Here, we refine layouts and specify materials for floors, walls, lighting, and more. The trade team reviews the design, and we create a Scope of Work (SOW) and make material selections. Regular budget reviews ensure alignment with your investment. Upon approval, we begin ordering materials.
Construction Documentation + Procurement Phase
In this phase, we produce detailed construction documents and finalize the scope of work. We revise the drawings and cost estimates in the final virtual review meeting for your approval. Then, we will meet with the construction team to review the finalized documents in a pre-construction meeting to ensure everyone is aligned. Simultaneously, we will finalize the furniture and decor selections and start the procurement process.
Construction Administration Phase
We oversee the construction process, addressing any unexpected issues and ensuring the design intent is followed. Regular site visits, progress reports, and coordination with contractors keep the project on track. We assist with construction payments and handle deficiencies or changes, leading to a final punch list review.
Project Completion Phase
Once construction is complete, we coordinate the delivery and installation of furnishings and accessories. A client reveal showcases the completed space, followed by a project closure meeting where we present the final documents and your Client Project Binder, including warranties and manuals. We schedule a professional project photography session to capture the transformation, ensuring high-quality images for your records and our portfolio. We also invite you to share your experience through a client testimonial, helping future clients understand the value of our work.
